Diocesan Music
The Clifton Diocese is served from the Cathedral. Plans are in development to hold music days in conjunction with the Department for Liturgy, extending formation opportunities across the Diocese.
As a Music Service, support is available to anyone within the Diocese with questions or concerns about music, covering repertoire, resources, organs and sound systems. The Director of Music has commissioned sound systems as part of RIBA award-winning projects and has acted as acoustic advisor on other award-winning schemes. Diocesan Cantors and Organists
The Music Service arranges diocesan musicians to lead worship or training days at parishes, covering occasions such as Masses for special or important events, confirmations, dedications, baptisms, weddings, funerals and carol services.
The Music Service is funded by the Cathedral and Diocese; this funding covers Diocesan liturgies. A charge applies to services beyond this scope, covering the professional musicians involved and associated administration.
